We are looking for a highly motivated undergraduate with a passion for Systems Engineering to be part of our transformation based within either the Whole Vehicle Engineering Systems or the Electrical departments. You will have the opportunity to be part of a highly skilled, motivated and supportive team establishing Systems Engineering within our business. You will take real responsibility for the delivery of tasks or projects you have been assigned and will be expected to engage confidently across our Engineering business. There is also the potential of interfacing with wider VW Group brands such as AUDI and Porsche on this topic.
The competition is fierce and so are our expectations, so you must be on course to achieve a minimum of a 2:1 degree in an Engineering, Mechatronic or Systems Engineering related subject. The successful individual will:
Understand and apply fundamental systems engineering principles to engineering process using industry standards such as INCOSE, ASPICE etc.
Ability to take complex problems and issues and deconstruct these to define new solutions processes along the ‘V’ model.
Interface and engage effectively with a wide range of engineering stakeholders
Take ownership for projects and work to time limits
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to right first time
Be proactive and will be able to evidence making improvements, driving own development and sharing knowledge
Be adaptable and resilient with the skill to problem solve
Have strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to adapt your style to the audience
Be customer focussed with a commercial approach
Able to work as part of a team
