Nick Boulle to Return to 24 Hours of Le Mans
Dallas, TX — Nick Boulle, of de Boulle, an independent jewelry salon in Dallas and Houston returns to 24 Hours of Le Mans June 15-16. Le Mans is a landmark event as the grand finale of the FIA World Endurance Championship, bringing the 2018-19 Super Season to a close.
Boulle has been confirmed as the third driver in the Labre Team with seasoned drivers Erwin Creed and Romano Ricci in the LMP2 Ligier JS-P217 race car. Larbre Competition, a well-known French race team that has won Le Mans and has entered Le Mans for over 20 years, thanks to team principal, Jack Leconte.
Last year, Boulle claimed third-place in the TOTAL 24 Hours of Spa driving a Ferrari 488 GT3 car for Rinaldi Racing at the Spa-Francorchamps. The track features the infamous “Eau Rouge – Radillon” corner sequence that sees cars driven flat out up roughly 10-stories at 150 miles-per-hour. This is only possible due to the car’s lightweight carbon body, 600-horsepower engine and the huge amounts of down-force produced by the car’s underbody and wings.
“I’m extremely excited to return to Le Mans,” said Boulle. “Taking part in two more rounds of the FIA World Endurance Championship is quite literally another dream come true. The depth of the LMP2 field and the quality of racing in the world championship of endurance motorsports is the pinnacle for me. I can’t wait to get over the pond and start working with the team and getting to know my co-drivers for these two amazing races.”
This will be de Boulle Motorsports’ second time competing in the World Endurance Championship and Boulle’s second running of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Last year, de Boulle Motorsports recorded an 8th place class finish in LMP2 in the DC Jackie Chan racing #33 Ligier LMP2 car with drivers David Cheng and Pierre Nicolet.
Drivers, Boulle, Creed and Ricci, will join up in the first weekend of June to run the Le Mans 24 Hour Test Day on June 2nd. Drivers and teams not only qualify to compete in the race that takes place two weeks later, but also get acclimated to the long and challenging racing circuit while working on the car’s set up for the endurance racing classic.
Many of the sponsors from 2018 will return to partner and support de Boulle Motorsports and Nick Boulle’s entry at the TOTAL Six Hours of Spa. The effort is being made possible through support and sponsorship from Circle Y Holdings, Concepta Labs, Meridian Veterinary Capital, McFadden & Miller, Nicholas Residential, and Blue Lion Capital. Sponsors receive the VIP treatment, with behind the scenes access, helicopter tours, lux dining, but most all they are treated to unprecedented access and experience as team partner rather than mere spectators.
